(Still Barbara writing for Alvaro): We don’t celebrate anniversaries much. In fact, we married on leap year day–Feb. 29–both so we wouldn’t have to do a yearly thing, but also to be sure we’d remember the day. But our gallery in Truchas, NM, will have been open for 20 years this coming May. It’s rather amazing to us, and it has been a journey of depth and joy for both of us, filled with years of meeting and making good friends among our gallery visitors, and growing and deepening in our art.Visit my blog if you’d like to read about how the gallery came about. Below is a picture of us in those first, heady, days just after opening the gallery.
Our Gallery’s 20th Anniversary

Hello! ran across your gallery from a gallery/shopping guide at the plaza in sante fe that we visited on the way to moving to las vegas. I told my fiance we’re gonna take a little detour and stay in sante fe for a couple days on the way there. I’m so glad we bought rugs and art there! nothing real extravagant, but what we could afford. they were real navaho rugs though. the painting i bought there was the most expensive i’d ever purchased though. when we got to las vegas i went online and purchased a bird painting-acrilyc called “fraternizing”. not a big painting but it’s what we could afford. I like cadona’s use of color especially as well as his unapologetic spontaneity. it’s beautiful. best wishes to you both in all your artistic endeavors!
